hi! I’m Liz. I’m a social worker by day and an artist in the in-betweens. I moved back to the New England coast last year, and along with my therapy pup in training, Finnegan, I launched Sandy Paw Studios. Finn and I scour the coast most weekends to create jewelry with sterling silver and brass, using sea glass, sea tumbled stones, and shells collected on our trips. I also

i’ve loved art as long as i can remember. so while may parents steered me to the medical field, my mind was always somewhere else, dreaming of going to art school, doodling on the edges of my anatomy notes, and finding ways to learn every art form possible until i stumbled on the ones that stuck. i learned photography & to develop my own film, i made a podcast with a group of teens in juvenile detention, i moved to LA and then South Africa to work in the film industry, i facilitated creative writing workshops and learned mosaic, linocut, screenprinting & silversmithing.

my path has been anything but linear or conventional - from dropping out of med school to work in the film industry to eventually finding my way back to healthcare as an ER social worker to launching Sandy Paw Studios, where I hope to not only create my own work but to find ways to blend my skillset as a social worker and artist with Finnegan by my side.
